Every story has a beginning...whether it starts in media res with an action packed battle, or with a damsel in distress, or even, simply, at the beginning, it all has to start somewhere. This is the beginning of my story; this is my timeless tale. Unfortunately for you, my lovely reader, this is not a tale of a damsel in distress, and I don't plan on including an action packed battles either... but if all goes as planned, it will be a tale filled with love, laughter, and many, many, happily ever afters.
Now for a little about me, your heroine. My name is Krista, and this is the tale of my wedding planning business. You must be asking yourself, why does this business need its tale to be told? Well I'll tell you why...this business does not yet exist. I am just your typical, run of the mill, college student. What's different about me is that I have known exactly what I wanted to do with my life for quite a while now. Simply put: I want to plan weddings, and I want to make sure that peoples' timeless tales of love can end with very happy endings. I love fashion, makeup, design, finding ways to express my creativity, and above all else, I love making other people happy. I am blessed to have a wonderful boyfriend named Kile (pronounced "Kyle" but spelled with an "I") who has put up with my crazy personality for 3 years now, and a family who has been putting up with it for 17 years longer than that. I am a crazy dog lady, and no one melts my heart more than my sweet lab. I am a marketing student, and I plan on either picking up a double major in business management, or a minor in public relations. I am currently an intern at a local wedding planning business, and I have loved getting a glimpse at what it will be like when I work my dream job. In my internship, I have been writing some blog posts and expanding the marketing side of the business (seeing as how I am a marketing student). While doing so, I realized I also love writing, sharing my knowledge, and creating a following online. Since I am loving blogging so much, I asked myself, "Why not start my own?" So if you continue to read this blog, you all will get to follow my timeless tale...you can follow me as I navigate school, enter the work force, and eventually start my own wedding business (which I am, of course, planning to name "Timeless Tales Events").
So what can you expect to find here? Blog posts about me and my journey and things I learn along the way, as well as posts about all things wedding related. Posting times will be as a frequent as possible, but will tend to vary, especially during the school year. If I didn't scare you off yet, and you are planning to continue reading this blog, I just want to say thank you for believing in me and supporting me as I follow my dreams.
I'll leave you with this: there's a famous proverb by Lao Tzu that goes, "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." I'm ready to start walking, and I hope that you all will follow me and that I may inspire you to start your own journey, and to create your own timeless tale.
